Stretching chest and shoulder muscles – Kneeing position
A floorball goalie spends most of his time on the knees during a game. In this post, we want to show you a stretching exercise for the chest and your shoulders, where you can keep kneeing on your knees. However, we recommend you not to use this exercise in the middle of the game ;-)
How to do it?
- Starting point
- You are in a kneeing position
- Your knees touch each other
- Your feet are on their arch
- During the whole exercise, pay attention, that your upper body is always straight
- Your hand grab each other behind your back
- Your fingers should be hocked into each other
- Movement
- Slowly lower your upper body forward until your head touches the floor
- Stretch your arms in the position behind your back vertically to the ceiling
- Hold the stretch for 10-15 seconds but do not stretch until you feel a pain
- Afterwards slowly do the movement vice versa
- Lower your arms
- Raise your upper body up
- and so on :-)
