No training on the field today? Don’t worry, there are a lot of hand-eye coordination drills that you can do outside. Here is another drill to improve you hand-eye coordination. This drill is a good exercise to start a small Enjoy it!
How to do it?
- Starting point
- Goalie
- You are in the initial position but your hands are on your back – folded on your backbone
- Assistent
- Stands in front of you in a shoulder wide position
- Knees slightly bent
- Arms are outstreched in a shoulder wide position
- Each hand has one ball
- Exercise
- Focus both balls
- The assistant will suddenly release one ball – it is up to the assistant which ball he releases
- Once you recognize the falling ball, react and catch the falling ball
- As soon as you caught the ball, the assistant bends the knees further down to reduce the time to react
- If you did not catch the ball, the assistant does the opposite and goes a bit up to give you more time to react – this should not be your target ;-)
How to change the degree of difficulty:
- Assistance can increase the distance between his arms
