Interrupted Ball Drops
Sometimes you have the best ideas when you are doing things you don't like. In this example: vacuum cleaning. Once again it is something you can do with stuff basically everyone has at home
How to do it?
Exercise
We assume you do this exercise with your right hand
- Stand in front of obstacle
- Hold hand over the obstacle in the way that your hand isin front of the obstacle, while your elbow is behind the obstacle
- This is for just for measurement, later you can of course vary the position of your hand
- Let the ball drop
- Try to catch the ball by quickly moving around the the obstacle with your hand
- When you catch the ball, throw it back up
- Try to catch the ball with the reversed motion
- Repeat over and over again
Summary
This exercise is improves your hand speed, hand-eye coordination and catching. You can use many things as an obstacle, for example you can tape a floorball stick or broom to a table or our personal favourite: removing the net from a goal and do it there. If it gets too easy, you can vary the distance of your arm to the obstacle or do it with two balls (and two hands) at the same time.
