Flying Pylons 2.0
In a previous post, we already threw pylons through the air like they were frisbees. In this post, we want to do the same, but with increased difficulty.
How to do it? Preparation for your Assistant
Your assistant will throw two pylons at the same time (one with each hand), so make sure he or she gets some practice throws before you start
Prepare two stacks of pylons in diffrent colours, e.g. blue and white
To make the life of your assistant easier, place the stacks on a goal or a high table
We assume that your assistant has a pair of a white and a blue pylon ready to throw.
The assistant throws the pylons at the same time towards you
he/she throws the pylons he/she shouts the colour you have to catch
In this case we assume he/she shouts “blue”
Try to catch the blue pylon
Ignore the other pylon
Repeat, repeat, repeat!
What makes this drill so great is its simplicity. You can do the same with coloured balls, but pylons are way more difficult to catch. We are sure, that there are plenty of pylons in your training facility and surely not all of them are in use. When it becomes to easy, your assistant can vary the height of throws or shout the colour to catch later. Also a special thank you to my non english speaking dad for throwing the pylons :)
